SLED Tech Grants Spotlight

In the first few weeks of Q2, CJIS GROUP has seen a number of key grant funding opportunities that help advance agencies’ technology infrastructure. These programs disperse vital funds that will help agencies work with vendors to plan, implement, and enhance their IT systems and equipment. Listed below are several recently released grant opportunities:

 

  • New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Cyber Security Grant
    • This program is designed to aid local jurisdictions in enhancing their ability to identify, protect, detect, respond to and recover from cyber incidents as well as enhance the cyber security posture of government organizations within New York State’s counties and local municipalities.
      • Total funding: $2,000,000
      • Average award amount: up to $50,000
      • Application deadline: May 5th, 2022

 

  • Wisconsin Department of Health Services Behavioral Health Telehealth Partnerships
    • Successful applicants for the funding available under this request for applications will be community based behavioral health care providers who provide or plan to provide services in areas of Wisconsin that lack behavioral health care. Successful applicants will partner with non-traditional sites of care to establish hubs for behavioral health telehealth services. Grant funds may be used to purchase and support the technology for both the provider and non-traditional site, including hardware, software, and internet access.
      • Estimated number of awards: 25 to 50
      • Total funding: $5,000,000
      • Average award amount: Up to $100,000
      • Application deadline: May 6th, 2022

 

  • US Department of Health and Human Services Legal Assistance Enhancement Program
    • This funding opportunity is designed to enable legal assistance providers, including Older Americans Act-funded programs, to enhance and strengthen legal assistance programs to serve older Americans with economic and social need. Enhancements and innovations may include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing: new programs to expand access to legal assistance, methods to increase the delivery of legal assistance, and technologies to improve the efficiency of providing legal assistance.
      • Estimated number of awards: 8
      • Total funding: $1,500,000
      • Average award amount: Up to $250,000
      • Application deadline: May 3rd, 2022

 

  • US Department of Agriculture SNAP Process and Technology Improvement Grants
    • This grant competition supports efforts by state agencies and their community-based and faith-based partners to develop and implement projects that focus on improving the quality and efficiency of SNAP operations and processes.
      • Estimated number of awards: 6 to 11
      • Total funding: $5,000,000
      • Application deadline: Summer 2022
