2019 Education Technology Trends and Priorities

Education Technology

It's Teacher Appreciation Week and we are exploring the tools teachers appreciate the most and where educational leaders say they would appreciate some help with their technology environment. Schoology's 2018-2019 State of Digital Learning in K-12 Education Report reveals the top focus of schools this year is professional development for staff. While the majority of professional development is still done through in-person workshops, many schools will be working to transition to a Learning Management System capable of managing both student and staff education this year. Significant administration concerns also included technological infrastructure and cyber security.

The top concerns of staff include juggling multiple digital classroom tools and integrating digital tools in classroom environments. Overall, educators felt that they needed to focus more on the implementation process for technology.

We expect to see an increase in LMS and professional planning and implementation services in the upcoming school year. To learn more about how CJIS GROUP can help connect your team with K-12 projects in the planning phase, click here.
