Brevard County, FL
The Bravard County Sheriff's Office will acquire approximately 97 Mobile Laptop Computers that will be used primarily by the agents in road patrol for in-field report writing purposes. Most of the Computers will have touch screen capabilities and possibly voice command for easier access while the officers are driving. The Laptops will give officers the option to access the internally developed records management and jail management system, criminal history system, and warrants database. The contract was awarded to Dell in March 2009 for approximately $194K. READ MORE
City of Frisco, TX
The Frisco Police Department will acquire a Digital Radio System for use by the Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments in the City. The new system will be P25 compliant and provide interoperable emergency communications between the agencies. The procurement will include infrastructure and subscriber units (mobile, portable, and dispatch radios). The $7.5M contract was awarded to Motorola in March 2009. READ MORE
